Last night, I came home, and nursed Ben until he drifted off in my lap, around 7pm He half woke up when I put him in his crib, but really just stayed asleep. Then he woke up at 10:30 for a snack. Paul fed him, and then came back to our bed. “Expect some yelling,” he said. “He was wide awake in his crib when I left.” And sure enough, we could hear him making a few low complaining noises.
But that was all. Ben never ramped up into crying. All of us drifted off. And Ben didn’t wake up again until SIX THIRTY IN THE MORNING. It was almost eight whole hours of sleep. It was the single longest stretch of sleep I’ve had since he was born. It was amazing.
Now he’s grinning and playing in his vibrating chair, and having a GREAT morning. I’m liking this new sleep thing. I’ll like it even more if it keeps happening.
