A shot of the mayhem that was my Canada Day party on Friday. I think about fifty people came through the house. Here’s my boyfriend, in his Night of the Living Dead T-shirt, and me, in my Canadian Girls Kick Ass tank top, in the middle of the craziness of the kitchen:
I wish I had the photo that was taken of us last night at the Goth Dance Party at Zen Sushi for contrast, but I only have the mild-mannered street clothes one for now. We were way scarier at the club last night though, if still adorable enough that the photographer asked to get a picture.
Also, last night, in the classic goth room, the DJs played the following songs, in this order:
Joy Division – Love Will Tear Us Apart (original version)
Siouxsie – Kiss Them For Me
Depeche Mode – Precious
Iris – Nothing Left To Lose
Peter Murphy – [random track I didn’t recognize]
Chameleons UK – Swamp Thing (which, for those of you paying attention, is what the boy first asked me to dance to)
Happiness meter went up drastically.
It’s been a crazy long weekend – too much partying, lots of work (like day job work) and now a BBQ on the roof until the fireworks start.
Also, there’s posting up on blogging.la about the weekend. I just posted about the banner drop CODEPINK did over the 10 today, and wished all of L.A. a happy Canada Day. Go check those out – it’s the post energy that isn’t going into this blog anymore.
