Today I had a really positive performance review…AND I have a boyfriend coming in from California.

Only thing that could make the day better would MAYBE be sushi.

slurm factory tours: 2km

text & downloadable clips from Fry & the Slurm Factory

Including my favourite part:

Grunka Lunkas: “Grunka Lunka Dunkity Darmed Guards …”
Bender: “Shut the hell up!”

I think only about three people who read this will think it’s hilarious.

8pm on a Tuesday…

…and I’m going in 11.5 hours at the office.

Granted, I blew a good couple hours slacking off this morning when I was still dazed from spinning, mostly on LJ and Trillian and personal e-mail…but still…

I’m negotiating one more deal over AIM and then I’m going to drink martinis at Fiction. Between the 6:15am spinning class, the way-too-long workday and the martinis, I think I can say that I’m back at the same level of yuppiedom I was in 1999 (although that was kickboxing & margaritas)

Now, if I only had the thighs I had in 1999, I’d be delighted.

the road goes ever on

I’ve realized I’m ridiculously happy lately. I thought I was happy earlier this spring & summer because I had a really happy relationship with a really sweet boyfriend.

Turns out, I was just happy because life is really f–king good. I kind of feel like I’ve been under a curse for five years that has just been lifted – and now I can appreciate that Vancouver is now my home – and I don’t have to leave if I don’t want to.

For the girl who spent years wandering America, who accepted nomadism as a way of life, this is kind of a major revalation.

vancouver junkie of sorts
